Guest speaker: Reesheda Washington

reeshedaWashingtonReesheda N. Washington is the Executive Director of Communities First Association, a national, faith-based, nonprofit organization that works with communities and their leaders. Reesheda is passionate about the obliteration of systemic challenges facing traditionally marginalized people groups. She is on the Paul Carlson Partnership Board of Directors and has worked with various initiatives committed to the obliteration of poverty in the Democratic Republic of Congo, including Covenant Kids for Congo. With a varied background in education, administration, financial management, leadership, ministry, life coaching and a heart for God, she is uniquely qualified to serve the people in communities to which she is called.

The thirst to be filled with the overflowing, living water of Jesus Christ is in each of us. That water becomes a flowing spring in us and is meant to be shared with others. Come to the retreat and grow deeper in your relationship with God as we explore what it means to be…Overflowing

So we are almost done with our first week of mandatory shelter-in-place and end of our second week of voluntary shelter-in-place. Kinda starting to understand why pets try to run out of the house when the front door opens.

I keep hearing all sorts of good things that are going on. Keep it up!

One neighborhood banded together and brought 'Elsa' to visit houses that had smaller children. She stayed outside and sang and danced for the kids. The kids were so thrilled that 'Elsa' came to see them!

We all need something to look forward to in these dark days. These days will not last. We will come out of it.
