BLESS – A Spring Celebration Workshop!

Women Ministries of the Great Lakes Conference presents:

A BLESS Workshop

in conjunction with the 2017 Spring Celebration

Life Church of Canton, Michigan, is our gracious host for Spring Celebration 2017.  We are pleased to welcome back Meagan Gillan, Executive Minister of Women Ministries at The Evangelical Covenant Church as our key note speaker and workshop leader.

Saturday, May 6th 2017 from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm

BLESS is a new approach to prayer and evangelism. It’s less about downloading information or memorizing scripts, and more about loving our neighbors well. It helps us get “unstuck” and practice evangelism more effortlessly

  • B – Begin with prayer
  • L – Listen with care
  • E – Eat together
  • S – Serve with love
  • S – Share your story

God’s way of reaching and restoring the world has always been through blessing. Five missional practices that make up the acronym BLESS are a way to participate in the strategy God gave Abraham to reach the world. “And I will bless you…and you will be a blessing” (GENESIS 12:2). As we engage these practices daily, we partner with God’s Spirit to bless those who do not know him.

You will receive a new set of tools to help you be a blessing to others.

Daily Verse

  • 1 Timothy 2:5-6 March 28, 2020
“For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all people. This has now been witnessed to at the proper time.”

So we are almost done with our first week of mandatory shelter-in-place and end of our second week of voluntary shelter-in-place. Kinda starting to understand why pets try to run out of the house when the front door opens.

I keep hearing all sorts of good things that are going on. Keep it up!

One neighborhood banded together and brought 'Elsa' to visit houses that had smaller children. She stayed outside and sang and danced for the kids. The kids were so thrilled that 'Elsa' came to see them!

We all need something to look forward to in these dark days. These days will not last. We will come out of it.
